Indonesia haze chokes Singapore and Malaysia
Original: 印度尼西亚
Southeast Asia is once again blanketed in haze, with air pollution choking Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Coverage, including a BBC explainer, focuses on what is driving the smog, widely linked to land clearing and forest fires in Indonesia that send smoke drifting across borders, prompting health warnings and renewed diplomatic friction between the affected countries.
Why now: Seasonal forest fires in Indonesia are driving severe haze across neighbouring countries, raising health and political concerns.
