Hamlet's Words on Death and Readiness Resonate Online
Original: If it be now, 'tis not to come... If it be not now, yet it will come. The readiness is all. Shakespeare ~ Hamlet . Photo
A passage from Shakespeare's Hamlet is being shared and quoted widely: "If it be now, 'tis not to come... If it be not now, yet it will come. The readiness is all." Readers of literary communities are passing along the lines, often paired with photography, as a meditation on mortality, acceptance and preparedness drawn from the play.
Why now: The timeless reflection on death and acceptance strikes a chord whenever it resurfaces among literature readers online.
