Ukraine claims overnight strike destroyed six Russian Su-34 bombers

Original: Ukraine’s Largest Strike on Russia’s Su-34 Fighter Bomber Fleet of the war took place overnight 6x Su-34 Fighter Bombers

Ukraine says it carried out its largest strike yet on Russia's Su-34 fighter bomber fleet, claiming six of the aircraft were destroyed with Flamingo cruise missiles at Borisoglebsk Air Base in the Voronezh region overnight. The Su-34s are significant because they launch glide bombs at Ukrainian targets daily, and their loss would weaken Russia's ability to strike front-line positions.

Why now: Claims of a record single-night loss of Russian combat aircraft mark a major escalation in the air war and would materially affect Russia's glide-bomb campaign.
