MI5 underprepared for next foreign terror threat, report claims
Original: MI5 is woefully underprepared for the next foreign terror threat
MI5, the UK's domestic security service, is being described as badly prepared for the next foreign terrorism threat, according to a new piece of commentary from UnHerd. The article argues the agency is 'woefully underprepared', prompting debate about whether Britain's intelligence services have the resources and focus needed as the international terror picture shifts.
Why now: Claims that a major national security agency cannot handle emerging threats naturally draw attention and debate.
