An amateur astronomer shared new backyard astrophotography from the weekend, capturing the constellation Scorpius — pointedly noting it is Scorpius, not Scorpio — and reworking an earlier defocused star-colour image to include Sagittarius in the frame, teasing readers to spot a third constellation. Amateur stargazing and constellation photography continue to draw friendly pedantry and shared images in astronomy circles online.
Why now: Backyard astrophotography results and the playful Scorpius-versus-Scorpio distinction resonate with hobbyist astronomer communities.
