Ukraine Navy says six Russian Su-34M bombers destroyed in Voronezh strike

Ukraine's Navy says its forces destroyed six Russian Su-34M bomber aircraft in overnight strikes on a military airfield near Borisoglebsk in the Voronezh region of western Russia. If confirmed, the strike would be one of the heaviest single losses of Russian frontline aviation since the war began, prompting questions over how the aircraft were hit so far from the front line.
Why now: The claimed scale of the loss of Russian strike aircraft marks a potentially major development in the Ukraine war.
