Iran deliberately targeted Persian Gulf water and power, Reuters says
Original: Iran’s strikes on Persian Gulf water and power were deliberate - Reuters
Iran's strikes on water and power infrastructure in the Persian Gulf were deliberate, according to Reuters. The finding suggests attacks on civilian utility facilities were intentional rather than accidental, raising concerns about the treatment of essential infrastructure in the conflict and its impact on local populations dependent on water and electricity supplies.
Why now: New reporting characterising the strikes as deliberate is drawing attention amid ongoing regional conflict concerns.
