Open-source app promises Apple Watch compatibility with Android
Original: Apple Watch mit Android? Diese Open-Source-App soll das jetzt möglich machen Die Verbindung einer Applewatch zu Android
Connecting an Apple Watch to an Android phone has so far only been possible with severe limitations, as Apple restricts its wearable to the iPhone. A developer has now released an open-source project that aims to change this, enabling the pairing of an Apple Watch with Android devices. The project is drawing attention in the tech community, with interest in how well the workaround performs in practice.
Why now: The idea of using an Apple Watch with Android challenges Apple's ecosystem lock-in, making the open-source workaround notable to mobile tech followers.
