Original: Yup: " # Fridaythe13th films were tiny-brained and thinly plotted excuses to make couples squeeze each other tighter in
A widely shared take describes the Friday the 13th films as thinly plotted, low-thought slasher movies designed more for scares than substance. The comment comes amid discussion of Crystal Lake, an upcoming TV series set in the same franchise, with the poster admitting love for star Linda Cardellini but hesitation about watching it.
Why now: Interest in the upcoming Crystal Lake series is prompting people to reassess the Friday the 13th franchise.
