Campaign Calls for Protecting Education in Crisis Zones
Original: Protecting Education, Protecting Futures
The Norwegian Refugee Council is drawing attention to the protection of education for children affected by conflict and displacement, arguing that safeguarding schooling safeguards children's futures. The message stresses that education must not be interrupted in humanitarian crises, and urges stronger commitment to keeping schools safe and accessible. Reactions highlight growing concern over the millions of children out of school due to war and emergency situations.
Why now: Ongoing conflicts and displacement have put education under threat, prompting advocacy groups to push the issue back into public debate.
