The German Physical Society (DPG) is inviting researchers to an interdisciplinary workshop on climate communication from 13 to 15 January 2027 at the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef. It is being organised together with the German Meteorological Society, the Association of German Science Communicators and the German Climate Institute. The premise is that climate knowledge is plentiful, but conveying it to the public remains the weak point, with three days set aside for input, exchange and practical work.
Why now: Scientists and communicators are debating how to close the gap between abundant climate research and effective public communication, making this joint workshop noteworthy.
