Zelensky and Burnham to meet in Downing Street

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to meet Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham in Downing Street, according to a BBC News report. The meeting draws attention given Burnham's national profile within Labour and ongoing speculation about his leadership ambitions, against the backdrop of continued UK support for Ukraine.

Why now: The pairing of a foreign head of state with a domestic mayor rather than the prime minister is unusual and fuels speculation about Burnham's political standing.
