Ukrainians pay daily with their lives, say supporters urging full backing

Original: Addendum: but never forget the cost. This isn't a movie. Ukrainians pay for this daily with their lives. We must go all

Commentators are stressing that while Ukraine's resistance is often framed in cinematic terms, the war's cost is paid in Ukrainian lives every day. Calls are growing for Western countries to go 'all in' supporting Ukraine, with warnings that a Ukrainian defeat would leave Europe's remaining democracies exposed next. Supporters describe Ukrainians as brave out of necessity and urge matching bravery with sustained aid.

Why now: Ongoing concern over the pace and scale of Western support for Ukraine amid continuing casualties.
