The city of Kirkland, Washington, plans to lease a former Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building that it purchased only months earlier. The move is drawing local attention to how quickly the city has changed plans for the recently acquired property and what the building will be used for. Details on the tenant and lease terms have not been widely reported.
Why now: The quick reversal from buying to leasing the former LDS church property is raising questions locally about the city's plans for the site.
