Faber pulls Sally Rooney books from sale
Original: Faber pulls Sally Rooney books
UK publisher Faber & Faber has withdrawn Sally Rooney's books, according to reports circulating widely online. Rooney, author of Normal People and Beautiful World, Where Are You, is one of Faber's best-known novelists, so the move has prompted immediate questions about what prompted the decision and whether it is temporary. Readers and writers are debating the reasons, with no detailed public explanation confirmed yet.
Why now: A major publisher withdrawing titles by one of its bestselling authors is highly unusual, prompting speculation about disputes or boycotts.
