Wassily Kandinsky's 1907 painting 'Das bunte Leben (La Vie mélangée)' has been sold at Christie's London on 14 October 2026. The work remains in a private collection, with the buyer remaining anonymous. The Russian-born pioneer of abstract art painted the colourful composition early in his career, before his move toward pure abstraction.

Why now: The anonymous sale of a major early Kandinsky at auction is drawing attention from art lovers.
