Russia claims capture of two villages in Kharkiv region

Original: Russian troops liberate two communities in Kharkov Region over past day — top brass https:// lemmy.ml/post/54055674

Russia's military command says its troops have taken control of two communities in Ukraine's Kharkiv region over the past day. The claim, presented as a liberation by Russian officials, comes as fighting continues along the northeastern front. Ukrainian authorities have not confirmed the loss of the settlements, and independent verification of the frontline changes remains difficult.

Why now: Ongoing interest in territorial shifts in the Russia-Ukraine war and competing claims from both sides.
