Hegseth church allies backed public execution plan, report says
Original: Hegseth church allies backed plan for ‘public’ execution of Fort Hood shooter
Pete Hegseth's church allies backed a plan for the 'public' execution of the Fort Hood shooter, according to a Guardian report. The claim has drawn attention because of Hegseth's prominence as US defence secretary and the religious connections involved. Details of the plan and the extent of Hegseth's own involvement remain unclear from the report.
Why now: A new Guardian report ties the US defence secretary's religious circle to a controversial execution proposal.
