Japan is moving to explicitly state in taxi and bus terms of carriage that operators can refuse to pick up customers who engage in customer harassment, according to a Kyodo News report. The change would put the right to refuse service for abusive behaviour in writing, clarifying protections for drivers across the transport industry.
