Original: jon iñarritu
Basque politician Jon Iñarritu has announced he will not run as an EH Bildu candidate in Spain's upcoming general elections. The decision by the long-serving MP, a well-known figure in the Basque pro-independence coalition, is drawing attention in Spanish political circles as parties prepare their candidate lists.
Why now: His withdrawal from the EH Bildu ticket reshuffles the coalition's slate ahead of the general election.
