Original: This is Geoff, the youngest of our many daily Goldfinch visitors. Geoff isn't afraid, he lets you get to within feet wit

A photographer has shared images of Geoff, the youngest goldfinch among the daily visitors to his garden. Unlike the other birds, Geoff shows no fear and lets people come within a few feet without being startled. He is usually found sleeping on the bird bath, but was photographed resting on the garden wall. Readers have warmed to the bird's unusually relaxed behaviour.

Why now: Charming wildlife photographs of a bold, friendly garden bird are being shared and enjoyed online.
