Epic Games Launcher Rebuilt With Vibe Coding, 30x Faster
Original: Vibe Coding Hits Gaming: Epic Launcher 30x Faster [2026]
Epic Games has reportedly overhauled its launcher using 'vibe coding', an AI-assisted development approach where engineers describe desired behaviour in natural language rather than writing code line by line. The result is claimed to be a launcher running up to 30 times faster. The story is being shared as an early example of AI-assisted programming reaching major consumer software in gaming.
Why now: Vibe coding is a trending topic and a 30x speedup of the notoriously slow Epic Games Launcher is a striking concrete result.
