Sony weighs same-day release for Beatles biopics
Original: Sony weighs same-day Beatles biopic release
Sony is reportedly considering releasing its four upcoming Beatles biopic films on the same day, rather than spacing them out. The films, directed by Sam Mendes, each focus on one member of the band, with casting including Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Joseph Quinn and Barry Keoghan. The unusual plan has drawn attention given the scale of the project and its planned 2028 theatrical rollout.
Why now: News of Sony's deliberations over an unconventional same-day release strategy for the high-profile Beatles films has circulated widely.
