Epic Reportedly Pushing Devs to Use AI, Delays Star Wars Marvel Shooter

Original: Epic Reportedly Pushing Devs to Use AI, Delays Star Wars and Marvel Shooter

Epic Games is reportedly pressing its development partners to adopt AI tools while also delaying an unannounced crossover shooter featuring Star Wars and Marvel characters. The report has drawn attention from gamers and industry watchers, who see it as another sign of AI becoming a requirement rather than an option in big-budget game development, alongside questions about what caused the delay.

Why now: The combination of mandated AI use and a high-profile delayed game strikes a nerve with gaming communities worried about AI's role in development.
