eBay Restricts Radio Equipment Listings, Exempting Ham-Band Gear
Original: eBay Restricts Listings of Radio Equipment, but Exempts Ham-Band-Only Gear
eBay has introduced new restrictions on listings of radio equipment, but has exempted gear that operates only on amateur radio bands. The change, reported by the ARRL, means amateur radio transceivers and related ham-only equipment can continue to be bought and sold on the marketplace, while other categories of radio devices face limitations. Amateur radio operators are discussing how the policy will affect equipment sales and the second-hand market.
Why now: Ham radio operators and electronics enthusiasts are assessing how eBay's new listing rules will affect buying and selling radio gear.
