India tightens satellite internet rules after Musk-Modi spat

Original: MUSK took a jibe at Modi. India has begun the COUNTER OFFENSIVE... Fresh security rules for Satellite Internet providers

India has introduced new security requirements for satellite internet providers, reportedly requiring all satellite traffic to pass through Indian gateways and keeping critical infrastructure and data routing within the country. The move is being read as a response to Elon Musk's criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with observers calling it a counter-offensive amid tensions over Starlink's entry into the Indian market.

Why now: Fresh security rules for satellite internet providers are widely framed as India's retaliation against Elon Musk following his jibe at Modi.
