Open-source AI models seen as opportunity for Europe
Original: Open-source models offer new opportunities for Europe
Open-source AI models could give European companies and developers a way to build advanced technology without relying on large US or Chinese providers, according to Portugal News reporting. Why now: Ongoing debate in Europe about AI sovereignty and reducing dependence on foreign tech providers.
