Original: At least 4 Chicagoland members of Congress receive suspicious mail
At least four members of Congress representing the Chicago area have received suspicious mail, according to WGN-TV. The nature of the letters and whether anyone was harmed has not been detailed, and law enforcement is expected to investigate how the mailings were sent and whether they are connected to one another.
Why now: Threats or suspicious packages sent to elected officials raise immediate security concerns and follow a broader pattern of threats against US lawmakers.
