Vercel releases tsc-ts, a TypeScript compiler rewritten in TypeScript
Original: Tsc-ts: TypeScript written in TypeScript
Vercel Labs has published tsc-ts, a new open-source project on GitHub that rewrites the TypeScript compiler itself in TypeScript. The project is drawing attention from developers, with discussion on Hacker News pushing it into the site's top stories. Interest centers on the technical achievement and what a self-hosted compiler written in its own language could mean for the TypeScript toolchain.
Why now: The novelty of a compiler written in its own language and its release by Vercel are driving developer interest.
