Calls grow to block mercenary spyware firms
Original: Block them all. # technology # internet https:// pluralistic.net/2026/10/17/mer cenary-spyware/
A widely shared commentary argues that mercenary spyware companies should be blocked outright, under the blunt message 'Block them all'. The piece, published on the Pluralistic blog, addresses the commercial spyware industry and the case for cutting such firms off from the internet and tech infrastructure. Discussion online so far is limited, with the commentary circulating mainly among technology and internet-policy readers.
Why now: Renewed attention to the commercial spyware industry and how it should be contained.
