Texas Weighs Selling Boca Chica State Park to SpaceX

Original: Texas Has Been Considering Selling a Beloved State Park to Elon Musk's SpaceX

Texas officials have been considering selling Boca Chica State Park, a popular stretch of Gulf coastline, to Elon Musk's rocket company SpaceX. The park sits next to SpaceX's Starbase launch site near Brownsville, and the possibility of transferring publicly owned parkland to a private space company has drawn criticism from park advocates and raised questions about how the state balances conservation with its push to become the hub of commercial spaceflight.
