AfD's Alice Weidel Calls for Restoring Russian Oil Imports

Original: Alice Weidel Full Speech | Merz Leaves Parliament: AfD Demands Russian Oil For Germany | Putin |N18G

Alice Weidel, leader of Germany's AfD party, delivered a speech in parliament in which the party demanded the return of Russian oil for Germany. The speech came as Chancellor Friedrich Merz left the chamber, and Weidel invoked Vladimir Putin and energy policy in her remarks. The speech is drawing wide attention amid ongoing debate in Germany over energy costs and relations with Russia.

Why now: Energy costs and Germany's stance on Russian energy remain highly contentious, and a major opposition leader openly demanding Russian oil is provocative.
