Gaza faces winter with only 17% of shelter needs met

Original: Gaza Faces Winter With Shelter Supplies Covering Just 17% of Needs - Palestine Chronicle https://www. palestinechronicle

Aid agencies warn that available and incoming shelter supplies cover just 17% of what Gaza's population needs to get through the winter. With cold, wet conditions setting in and much of the territory's housing destroyed or damaged, displaced families are described as critically exposed. The shortfall highlights the gap between pledged humanitarian aid and what is actually entering the territory.

Why now: Winter weather is arriving while humanitarian agencies report a severe shortage of shelter materials for displaced people in Gaza.
