Tjark Ernst stars as Fortuna Sittard hold Feyenoord
Original: tjark ernst
Goalkeeper Tjark Ernst delivered a standout performance as Fortuna Sittard drew with his former club Feyenoord, drawing praise across Dutch media. He called his move from Rotterdam to Sittard a good career choice, saying the quieter environment helped him settle. Meanwhile Feyenoord came under heavy criticism, with pundits on ESPN saying the performance was unacceptable and Giovanni van Bronckhorst acknowledging missed chances cost them.
Why now: Ernst's heroics against his old club Feyenoord, and the ensuing criticism of Feyenoord, are dominating Dutch football discussion.
