Iwai Cosmo Securities-linked system provider hit by unauthorized access

Japanese media report that Trade Works, a system provider serving Iwai Cosmo Securities, suffered a sharp share-price fall after unauthorized access to its systems and a partial leak of client information were confirmed. Separately, Ascemo also disclosed a third-party intrusion with some data flowing outside the company. The incidents have raised concerns about security at firms providing trading and data infrastructure to Japanese financial institutions.
