An online debate is unfolding in German-speaking Switzerland after an SRF article about the role of religion in schools. Commenters argue religion has no place in the classroom, with one writing that people should 'leave the shit at home' and accusing religious parents of projecting psychological harm onto their children. The discussion reflects wider tensions over secularism, upbringing and the state school system.
Why now: A recent SRF feature on religion and schooling has sparked arguments about whether faith belongs in public education.
