Hungary says it won't block Ukrainian grain transit

Original: # HUNGARY WON’T BLOCK UKRAINIAN GRAIN TRANSIT: Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar said he sees no obstacles to Ukrain

Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar said he sees no obstacles to Ukrainian grain transiting through Hungary, signalling no repeat of earlier agricultural blockades. At the same time, he continues to block the opening of new EU accession negotiation clusters for Ukraine, keeping Budapest's leverage over Kyiv's membership path intact. Observers see the split stance as Hungary trying to avoid friction with farmers and the EU while still pressing its political conditions.

Why now: Hungary is softening on grain transit while still obstructing Ukraine's EU accession talks, a notable shift ahead of membership negotiations.
