Polish priest searches surge amid Borysewicz guitar tribute

Original: ksiądz

Searches for 'ksiądz' — the Polish word for priest — are climbing in Poland and Germany. The trend is tied to memorial coverage around guitarist Jan Borysewicz, founder of Lady Pank, with his daughter Alicja pressing her handprint onto a guitar in tribute. Readers are discussing the role clergy played in farewell ceremonies surrounding the musician.

Why now: Renewed attention to funeral and tribute ceremonies linked to musician Jan Borysewicz has driven Polish-language searches for 'priest'.
