A newly reported open-source app claims to make the Apple Watch work with Android phones, something Apple has never officially supported. The approach reportedly relies on reverse engineering, and tech observers are sharing the t3n write-up as an intriguing workaround. If it holds up, it could let Android users use Apple's smartwatch without owning an iPhone.
Why now: The idea of using an Apple Watch with Android challenges long-standing platform lock-in, making it a curiosity for tech fans.
