Original: Trump shares plan to overhaul East Potomac golf course amid court fight over land
President Trump has put forward a plan to extensively overhaul the East Potomac Park golf course in Washington, D.C., releasing designs for the public course even as a legal dispute over the federal land it sits on continues in court. The proposal would significantly redevelop one of the capital's most-played public courses.
Why now: The plan lands in the middle of an ongoing court fight over control of the land, making the redevelopment controversial.
