Ukraine's 1021st Brigade Shows Off 'Bars' Jet Interceptor Drone
Original: 📰 Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners from 1021st Air Defence Brigade demonstrated launch of "Bars" jet-powered interceptor
Ukrainian air defence gunners from the 1021st Air Defence Brigade have demonstrated the launch of the 'Bars' jet-powered interceptor drone, which reportedly can reach speeds of up to 700 km/h. The interceptor is designed to shoot down faster Russian drones and missiles, part of Kyiv's expanding effort to build cheap, high-speed counter-drone systems as the war continues.
Why now: Interest in Ukraine's rapidly developing interceptor drones as a response to Russian air attacks.
