Trump administration to close East Potomac golf course
Original: Trump to close East Potomac golf course
The East Potomac Park golf course in Washington, DC, is set to be closed under a decision by the Trump administration. The course, one of the most-played public courses in the area, sits on federal parkland along the Potomac River. The move is drawing criticism from local golfers and park advocates who question the closure of a popular public recreation space.
Why now: The closure of a popular public golf course on federal land in the capital is seen as a politically charged decision by the Trump administration.
