Namecheap customer says all domains seized and disabled
Original: Namecheap just seized and disabled all my domains
A system administrator reports that domain registrar Namecheap seized and disabled all of their domains, according to a post drawing heavy discussion among IT professionals. Commenters are weighing possible causes, including abuse claims, account flags, or registrar policy enforcement, and debating what recourse customers have when a registrar suspends everything at once.
Why now: Domain registrars unilaterally disabling a customer's entire portfolio raises fears about business continuity and due process in domain hosting.
