Ukraine issued air raid alerts on October 8 for loitering munition threats in Kharkiv, Kremenchuk, Cherkasy and Mykolaiv. Drones were tracked approaching Kharkiv in two groups, while others moved toward Kremenchuk, Cherkasy from the Zolotonosha area, and Mykolaiv via Bashtanka and Nova Odesa. Separate groups were reported heading toward Merefa and Berestyn as residents took shelter.
Why now: Russian drone attacks on Ukrainian cities continue to drive repeated nationwide air alert activity.
