EveryLibrary calls for national action to defend libraries

Original: Together, we can protect libraries, defend the freedom to read, and build a stronger future for every community. https:/

EveryLibrary, the US library advocacy organization, is urging supporters to join a nationwide campaign to protect libraries and defend the freedom to read. The group frames library funding and access to books as a community issue, asking people to take action against book bans and budget cuts and to support librarians working under political pressure.

Why now: Ongoing book bans and funding threats to libraries in the US have made the freedom to read a hot political topic.
