Open-source hotel PMS connector keeps AI booking changes off by default
Original: An open-source hotel PMS connector keeps AI booking changes off by default
A new open-source connector for hotel property management systems has been released with AI-driven booking changes disabled by default. The design gives hotels explicit control over when artificial intelligence can modify reservations, requiring staff to opt in before any automated changes take effect. The approach reflects ongoing debate in hospitality technology about balancing AI automation with operational oversight and guest safety.
Why now: Hotels are weighing the benefits of AI automation in bookings against concerns about loss of control and errors.
