Why 'The Blackout Club' Is Called Gaming's Biggest Missed Opportunity
Original: ‘The Blackout Club’: The biggest missed opportunity in gaming history
'The Blackout Club', the 2019 cooperative horror game from Question studio, is being described as the biggest missed opportunity in gaming history. The claim centers on the idea that the game had an unusual concept — players exploring a town haunted by an unseen entity, with occasional real stranger intrusions — that never reached its full potential. The piece argues the game's ambitious ideas were undermined by execution and a lack of lasting player support.
Why now: A new opinion piece is renewing debate over the game's unfulfilled potential.
