Lesley Stahl faces criticism over CBS sheep segment
Original: lesley stahl
The veteran 60 Minutes correspondent is under fire from the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, which accuses her and CBS of pushing what it calls a false narrative about Israeli settlers colonizing land in the West Bank using sheep grazing. The group's critique is circulating among media watchdogs and Middle East policy observers, renewing debate over network coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Why now: A media watchdog has just published a sharp critique of her reporting, drawing attention to CBS's Middle East coverage.
