Original: Men's Basketball Falls to St. John’s in Four-Overtime Thriller at MSG
Rutgers men's basketball lost to St. John's in a four-overtime thriller at Madison Square Garden. The marathon contest, announced by Rutgers Athletics, went well beyond regulation before St. John's prevailed, giving the Red Storm a memorable win at its home arena in New York. Fans of both programs have been reacting to the rare double-digit-overtime spectacle and what the hard-fought defeat means for Rutgers' season.
Why now: Four-overtime college basketball games are rare, and a Big East-area rivalry matchup at Madison Square Garden naturally draws heavy attention.
