Renewed attention is focused on Blackwater, the private military company founded by Erik Prince that became notorious for its role in the Iraq War, most infamously the 2007 Nisour Square shooting in Baghdad. Why now: Ongoing debates over the use of private military contractors in conflicts keep interest in Blackwater's legacy alive.
